is this my life? because it's slightly pathetic. today i wore my most beautiful skirt, which is probably the most beautiful thing i own. when i went to work for a meeting, jimmy was cashiering. i went to tell him the good news about getting to go to the AWP conference next year, and he stopped me mid-sentence and said, "you look great, by the way." and i just stopped and said, "thank you. i appreciate that." because i do. --- i might be victorious, but it doesn't last long before i feel defeated again.
